Without its assertiveness, being the world’s first wristwatch with fusée and chain mechanism & tourbillon, how could one revive a dormant East-Germany high-end watchmaking brand? This is a watch that signalled what is to come with its technicality, formed the bridge between the past and present with its design, and basically told the story of the brand in 38.5 mm case, across 5 different metals.

Pink gold edition reference 701.011 is one of the rarest iterations of this already historically important collection. It is the only one from the main Tourbillon Pour le Mérite collection with black dial and diamond indices. The dial configuration of the 701.011 is so special that A. Lange & Söhne used the style in two other Piece Unique editions. The diamond makers bring a certain class to the dial, make it simpler, and puts all the attention the exceptionally finished tourbillon bridge and tourbillon cage. Furthermore, the "TOURBILLON" inscription which normally at 9 o'clock sub-dial is moved below the logo, further enhancing the symmetry and simplicity.

This pink gold Tourbillon Pour le Mérite 701.011 also comes with its original box and papers and with a very special Wellendorff Bracelet. The bracelet is added to the package later on, and has that irresistible hue of red of the early pink gold metal from Lange.
